I don't mind sword wars, it's just they don't do enuf dmg.
Imo it's time to bring the W/D scythe bar back. Power atk -> twin moon sweep a scrub

The only decent sword elite is cripslash, but thanks to the derv update cripslash is absolutely terrible compared to various derv builds. Sure you get some minor utility out of bull's or savage slash and maybe get to do slightly better damage if you're not being linebacked / hexed / blinded all day, but the derv is (unfortunately) going to be better 95% of the time.
One other downer on cripslash even before the derv update is FF necro > your build. It stacks 3 condis with decent durations that are ideal to send back.

There is nothing wrong with a sword build. However some of the most useless players tend to be warriors with a sword in hand.
The other problem is people come to RA for "testing" before they actually tested on the master of damage or any of the PvP AI mobs. 99% of the total crap bars I see in RA would not be there if people did that test before they entered RA. Its what i do first on all my ideas and when I enter RA I have a decent bar that will add something to the group.
Lazy is what it comes down to. Test your bars before you enter RA and people wont rage so much at non-wiki bars.

Sword is junk at the moment.
They just can't compete with broken dervs.
End of discussion basically...

Sword Warriors can pump out a ton of damage with Hundred Blades at the moment. Throw in Shock for a KD and they definitely have their uses if they aren't dying in Frenzy.

Lately i've been running an A\Mo Palm spiker with protective bond in RA. People whine and ragequit sure but I go to 10-20 practically everytime i get a half decent team. Reality is, 99% of all the people playing this game are completely clueless about builds.
For instance, when someone asks for a team build in alliance chat, for their heroes. Nobody but me even bothers to ask what class they play before posting the crap they run. I haven't seen that happen once, they just post whatever it is they're running and think it's amazing. It's like "I combined Sabway with ritway and ineptitude + panic mesmer and it's awesome" or "I run sabway + WoH and UA monk and I can just do anything". Sure you can but your build sucks still
Point is, unless comparing to something that is freakishly overpowered like EDA Dervs a few weeks back. It's not hard to come up with builds that can perform on par with the meta
